How often can you say “my bag is a knockout” and really mean it? Loving these unique and quirky Knockout clutches from Etsy.

Favorite Etsy find of the week: vintage bamboo kimono bag. Accidental theme of the week: all things fan.

This is so completely unnecessary, but if I had a crazy amount of cash to spend on anything at all, I’d collect these handmade Tim Burton-esque Russian dollhouses and build my own Beetlejuice town to house them in. Then again, if I had a crazy amount to spend on anything at all, I’d purchase Tim Burton to church butter inside my head. Via Etsy.

Am a huge fan of collages, so it’s non wonder that these digital collages of Peggy Wolf cause my mind the blow up into a mass entanglement of pleasure and inspiration.

It’s been raining madloads within the past few days, and the freakish thunderstorms have gotten everyone moody and pessimistic about yesterday, about today, and about every single day for the rest of their lives. Yes, our generation whines and complains a lot. We’re never satisfied. Heck, contented used to be a good thing… now it’s a settlement, and no, I’m not talking the good, Catan-playing kind. As a friend, a father, a sister, a brother, we listen. We listen to the rantings and the whines and the whatnots of the mind, and we’ve grown so accustomed of this behavior that even without it, we’d get on Twitter to read this same negativity. Is life really that bad? Are we really just doomed? Have we been dragged so shallow that we’re in too deep? I don’t know about you, but I get tired from all the complaints. Especially when thunderstorms are beautiful and haunting a story told to kids, and the grass is always greener where it rains.
True story.
Instead of provoking negativity by prodding with good-willed curiosity, I always shut it up with that one quote; “Without the rain there would be no rainbow.” Have we forgotten to see the light? The two sides of a story? I hope I never do, simply because I’d lose the magic in being a child, in seeing hope, in loving that little nook of a room no matter how big nor small it is. And what a beautiful nook it is.

The second edition to Etsy’s Crafty Art Market is here, and if I weren’t stuck rushing a new collection, I’d be headed there in a split second especially to grab some quirky Japanese cotton from Fabric Fanatics. But you guys really shouldn’t miss out on this market… We’ve had so many local markets that it’s gotten pretty dull a scene, but this is a handmade lover’s paradise, not another Bangkok stock-filled copycat stalls galore gathering. Or you could always just drop by The Bee’s for one of their awesome burgers. Who knows? – unintentional shopping may ensue.

If any of you guys are suffering the forebodings of that traumatic experience in a daily routine called DIET, here’s a little something for you – faux food. Yup. Like fake fur, it’s not the most smooth alternative, but it sure does set us tormented souls aside from the naysayers of society. Taboo my arse, I’m about to eat a chunk of crochet. But if you want to talk about a BIG FOODIE, check out Dawn Tan’s crazy foodaholic “art”.
Now THAT’S what I’d seriously proclaim diet devotion.

We’re celebrating this impromptu Friday holiday with a tinge of disbelief – sure, we’re pleased with the New Year’s eve holiday, but should employers really have to pay double for a day proclaimed free for all when this day is nothing but a foolish victory of a really bad footie game? We think not, but that’s just us… we love our employers that much
