The weekend is here, and our New Year’s resolution for 2012 is to draw as often as possible, even in our sleep and floating through dreams. So we bought everyone in the office new Moleskines, and getting inspired by videos such as the above, and this amazing video of Fibonacci, doodles, and plants. Yes, random is best for drawing in circles.

What’s YOUR resolution?

Apologies for not posting up DIY Wednesday links and projects for so long… it’s been a hectic few months here in the office prepping for the New Year stocks and catalogue. Which is why this week’s DIY Pick of confetti invitations from You Are My Fave is such the simple pleasure to create and give that I’m kicking myself in the head for not thinking of it first.

One of my favorite shop finds in Singapore is The Little Dröm Store located on Ann Siang Hill. Filled with little quirky knick knacks that’ll make excellent gifts for the trendy and artsy, this little gem of a store hides treasures aplenty, from accessories, to paper goods, to vintage toys galore.

I really wanted their Lego bow tie brooches, but they were sold out. Anyway, if you’re in the Lion city and would like to purchase some quirk, I’d strongly suggest The Little Dröm Store. Bonus: there’s a super mini (only two to three tables) desserts cafe called Kki Cafe attached to the store, so chomp on some sweets while you shop for neat treats.

When I was in Singapore, I almost lost my mind seeing all the redesign novels on my wishlist appear right in front of me at Prologue bookshop, and actually bought a few Jillian Tamaki’s covers. Now, I am smitten by the Virginia Woolf’s covers by Angus Hyland. Each design screams such simplicity and modernism in strokes of bold colors and offers a sense of calligraphy to them. So yes, the next time I end up in a shop like Prologue, I’ll probably walk out empty in the wallet, but ecstatic to the core.

Christmas has come and gone, and so has my waist. So yes, a few of Heidi Merrick’s comfy cozy flowing pieces with a tinge of summer in pops of colors would be really necessary as of now.

Okay, I almost lost it when I saw Ribbonesia’s crazy impressive ribbon creations. From a fox, to a lion, to a bird, to an adorable seal balancing a ball, smitten would be an understatement. And if I were lucky enough to receive a gift adorned with one, I’d throw the gift and keep the ribbons ;p

I love the Poketo wallet collaborations with artists such as Mike Perry and Andy Miller. Also check out their Australian artists’ collection… Thank God most of them are sold out, otherwise I’d be too broke to fill any of them up!

I know these covers by Snurk won’t fit into a Christmas stocking, but hey if anyone’s so kind, I’ll make a ginormous stocking from scratch to let you stuff it with!

If you haven’t distinguished what the above images are, you’ve probably been living under an unidentified shell on Google Earth. David Hanauer created “WorldWide carpets” out of images found via the Google Earth application. The results are stunning and interactive works of art made for comfort; like playing giants on the beauty of a miniature world.

I am currently in love with the abstract minimalism of Persephoni Accessories. Made of stainless steel and soft organic materials, the result is an instantaneous show-stopper, not to mention a possible weapon option in times of need ;p Either way, I’m loving the ingenious contrast in soft and hard.

For more (because their lookbook is a tad too vulgar for this blog), check out Persephoni Accessories’ Facebook page and “LIKE” them aplenty.
