Hi guys, we’ll be enjoying the weekend with some early Xmas shopping done at Crafty Art Malaysia, Etsy’s first local market! We’re super duper excited bout the vendors listed, and really hoping to nab a MiniFanFan doodle, not to mention one of Fong’s adorable owl pillows.

Join us in this wonderland of stocking stuffers!

Baggu mustard backpack, Kate Spade iPhone4 cover, Verbana silk cashmere scarf, Verabel vintage locket, Ban.do sequin heart shoe clips

We love fooling around with the contrast between casual and glam. Totally wishing for all of the above on this lovely weekend. Speaking of lovely weekends, Bijou Bazaar will be throwing yet another one of their popular events at MapKL.

Before you ask, we won’t be participating ‘coz we’re swamped with year-end surprises for you guys (YAY!). However, we WILL be checking the bazaar out for yummy goodies. Hope to see you guys there!

This week’s Twitter Fritters features three local names synonymous to the world of fashion blogging; Joyce aka Kinkybluefairy, Jacintha otherwise known as Travinia, and Chelle of the Melb styling duo MuffStit. The triple fashion threat combined their love for creating and their passion for collecting into an indie label/blogshop of their own – meet LEFTBLOCK, a line of vintage finds and self-designs.

While each have separate life paths – Joyce is a traveling blogger/writer that spends most of her time just enjoying the pleasures of life, Jacintha has relocated to the arty streets of downtown Melbourne, and Chelle just opened the quirky cafe that is Fat Spoon – they meet their minds in the playground that is LEFTBLOCK. And boy are we glad for this addition to a growing list of Malaysian made talents!

This Sunday finds us a little bit of everywhere; we are counting the days ’til Christmas, we are swaying on the beaches of autumn, we are having milk somewhere along the frisk and summer. Oh, but if we could have it all…

Two of our designers have been suffering from bloated feet due to pregnancy, and they’re fully dependent on flip flops… or what we’d like to call, feet faux pas. Instead of continuing with our daily flaunting of our non-bloaty feet in dainty heels and gorgeous pumps, we decided to scour the internet for a tutorial that they could use. And we found this Etsy fabric sandals tutorial!

Looks easy enough… but we’ve yet to try it out in the office. We’re gonna wait for Bangsar’s night market to grab us some cheap basic flip flops to test this tutorial out. In the meantime, if any of you guys have actually tried the recommended tutorials featured here, do send us pics!

Happy DIY Wednesday!

Always all for the eco friendly, here’s a little neighborhood nugget that caters to the green hearted. NottyPooch is a handmade label run by Huey and Wah, two Penang-based designers that create one-of-a-kind products made of recycled banners. Yup, recycled banners. From wallets to laptop covers to storage bins, NottyPooch is a unique find and psst…. Christmas is coming, and we’re pretty sure any of their products will make a big hit under the Christmas tree!

Shop NottyPooch here, or follow them on Twitter. Whichever way you choose to stalk them, give them a green thumbs up while you do!

Our freelance designer Ellie is busy prepping for the arrival for her baby, and she uploaded this baby crib mobile tutorial on her blog. We’re instantaneously in love with the accessibility of making some of our own, or even creating them as baby shower presents for expecting moms-to-be.

But just in case you’re not the DIY type and would rather pay for creativity, we also scoured our favorite handmade shopping site, Etsy, for a list of our personal favorite baby crib mobiles. Chekkit.

SnickerDoodle Creations‘ sock owl mobiles are not only cute and cuddly, they’re easy to make and fun to look at. Made of old socks, this mobile plays a good reference for your own DIY project on a budget.

This pretty pink pinwheel mobile by Mamax2 is a refreshing alternative of eye candy for your baby. With customisable options and pinwheel choices aplenty, you should definitely check out her Etsy account for more goodies like this.

SweetLittleBirdie’s little daschunds are too cute to miss out, and the bones just add to the chasing of sleepy dreams. Also check out the rest of her little daschunds collection…. Uber daschundy cute!!!

We’ve always been strong supporters of Singaporean-made label, LittleOddForest, and ever since Lynda launched the baby booties collection, we’ve been going completely bonkers from “Awww’s” and “Eeeee’s“. Intensely adorable and detailed to the bone, every single Mommy in our office has bought a list of these baby booties.

While you’re on the LOF site, here are a few of our other favs.
